There is  a problem with how some agencies speed up their web development process.

I recently watched a webinar with several web developers.
And they were all commenting that one of the biggest speed bumps to launching a website is the content.

As a former agency owner - I agree!
Done correctly, writing website copy:
❗️Requires input from your subject matter experts.
❗️Needs a writer who knows how to create copy for a website.
❗️Often has to be adjusted in order to fit into the design, requiring back and forth between the designer and writer.

Yeah, website copy it’s a pain, costs money and takes a lot of time.

And I get it.  ChatGPT is:
☑ Fast.
☑ Mostly accurate.
☑ Able to write content that it fits into the design parameters.
☑ Able to write in a storybrand format with a little bit of prompt engineering and training.

ChatGPT really is an amazing tech tool that can be used to source and write web copy.

But their solution speed up the web development process by using to GenAI tools to create the content is a bad idea for one single reason:

𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞.

B2B buyers read your website content to help them understand if your company solves their problem.

If your content just states facts and doesn’t demonstrate what makes your solution unique, what are the chances of you getting added to their shortlist?

Web copy is not a checkbox to complete so you can launch your website faster.

Words sell.

Take the time to create web copy that sells.
