Most people who visit your website don’t read below the fold. But you who what does? ChatGPT.

When I was an agency owner, I personally analyzed visitor behavior on dozens and dozens of business websites.

Specifically, I used heat mapping software to look at what visitors are doing on the home page.

And no matter the industry, company size or if it was an e-commerce, B2C or B2B website, they all had one thing in common:

About 70% of the home page visitors never scroll down below the fold.

This is why I told my clients that the primary purpose of the home page is to serve as a traffic cop and get visitors to the information they are looking for.

That changed with ChatGPT.

With more and more buyers using ChatGPT to research potential suppliers, it’s important to know that the home page is one of the key pages it reads to understand what you do.

So, there are some key content elements you need on your home page:
✅ One line description of your company
✅ Your “elevator pitch”
✅ A description of services / products that solve your clients problems
✅ Testimonials
✅ FAQ

Today, your home page serves two audiences:
👉 Humans
👉 AI tools like ChatGPT

Make sure that your website is optimized for humans and ChatGPT.
