Being found by ChatGPT is not urgent…yet.

There’s a lot of hype and chatter from us marketers about being found by ChatGPT.

And while this is a valid use case, the majority of searches are still done by traditional search engines.

According to Search Engine Land (March 2025):
👉 Google Search is 373x bigger than ChatGPT search
👉 ChatGPT’s total share of the search market is less than 1%
👉 Only 30% of GPT prompts fell into “traditional” search like queries

So, at least right now, it’s not really urgent to be discovered by ChatGPT.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭:
➡️ ChatGPT is getting faster and "smarter"
➡️ Buyers are looking for ways to make their processes more efficient

No need to panic.
If adapting to this shift is not in your 2025 plan, it’s probably ok.
Don’t let the hype distract you from focusing on the priority sales & marketing projects you already planned out for 2025.

But for 2026, you should be looking to understand how B2B buyers use ChatGPT in their buyers journey.

Because it’s only a matter of time before enough B2B buyers turn to ChatGPT to discover potential vendors.

And that's when this will become urgent.
